Acupuncture – what is it?

Acupuncture plays a very important role in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and believes that most happenings in our lives are a constant play between the two poles Ying and Yang.

According to TCM, every animal is subject to a mental and physical state which is in a constant state of change. Therefore the sick animal is an individual who must be treated as an individual patient.

In our clinic acupuncture is used in orthopedic therapy and with dogs that suffer from bone or joint pain. The acupuncture therapy is used along with pain medication and further treatments such as physiotherapy and dietary habits.

This combination attains the maximum success and improves the quality of live for your animals.

The success of the therapy usually shows itself after three to twelve acupuncture sessions.

Acupuncture is practically pain free and does not have any side effects.

Acupuncture can also be calming and relaxing. The animals are therefore often tired, and a resting period following the treatment is recommended.
